Since our early years, we have made a series of choices. For whatever reason we are where we are. If we are addicted to an activity or substance we made the choice to try it. If we are in a relationship, we made the choice to stay. Good and bad, we did it. We made an effort to get where we are.
Below are some steps for positive change;
- Know what you need to change
We make changes in our lives when our life becomes uncomfortable, stressful, unmanageable and and/or painful.
Do you like the road that you are on? What about your present life would you change? What did you begin years ago that no longer fits?
- Know where you want to go.
Finish the statement “If my life were ideal I …”
Paint a picture in your mind of your ideal life. What are you doing? Who are you with? What kind of activities are you doing?
- Feel better!
We will start to see positive changes in our lives when we start to FEEL positive. We will start to feel positive when we adjust our minds to positive things. What can be more positive than your “ideal life”?
